Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! is a 2015 Indian mystery thriller film directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by Banerjee and Aditya Chopra. The film is based on the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi created by the Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari and Swastika Mukherjee in principal roles. The film was released on 3 April 2015 to positive reviews from critics.

In 1942 Calcutta in a vicious fight at the Calcutta docks Yang Guang is thought to be killed.
Some time later, in Calcutta, student Byomkesh Bakshy (Sushant Singh Rajput) is approached by a classmate, Ajit (Anand Tiwari), whose father Bhuvan Banerjee, a chemist, has been missing for more than two months. Byomkesh believes that he has been killed and his dead body kept hidden somewhere so that the case remains that of missing person. Initially, Byomkesh refuses to help in finding Ajit's missing father Bhuvan babu and even suggests Bhuvan may be mixed up in dodgy business, at which Ajit angrily slaps him. Byomkesh's girlfriend Leela plans to marry an employed chemistry student instead of him and tells him on the same day. After that Byomkesh finds Ajit and agrees to take a look. He checks Ajit's fathers belongings and is convinced that there is more to it than what meets the eyes.

Lingaa is a Tamil action film directed by K.S. Ravikumar, written by Cheyyur Arun and Pon Kumaran.  Music was composed by A. R. Rahman. The film stars Rajinikanth playing a dual role, Jagapati Babu, Anushka Shetty and bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. Lingaa was shot in Tamil, with dubbed versions in Telugu and Hindi.

A dam in the village of Solaiyur, which is the lifeline of that village, is under assessment for structural integrity by the Public Works Department. The dam inspector (Ponvannan) assesses that the dam is still strong 75 years after it was built. Later that evening, he is hacked to death by the corrupt local MP Nagabhushan (Jagapathi Babu), who wants the dam destroyed for his own benefit. Nagabhushan throws a pen drive containing details about his proposed plan to destroy the dam into an abandoned Shiva temple near the dam. The dying dam inspector notices this and warns the village head Karunakara (K. Viswanath) that the temple has to be opened as soon as possible, after which he passes away. Karunakara and the villagers are of the opinion that the temple can only be opened by the descendant of Raja Lingeswaran (Rajinikanth), who built the dam as well as the Shiva temple.......
